Driving assesment

This assessment is for all clientele with cognitive, neuro-motor or orthopedic problems that can present problems with their ability to drive a car.

The occupational therapist will assess all the physical and cognitive components required for safe driving. The therapist will then determine whether the client has the necessary abilities to keep their driver’s license, whether the client has the potential for improvement after taking a driving course or if the client’s car will have to be adapted.

The driving assessment is made up of two parts:

  1. An assessment at the clinic aimed at the physical and cognitive abilities of the client

  2. An assessment on the road with a driving instructor
