Manual therapy

Physiotherapists use manual therapy to assess and treat some orthopedic and neurological conditions. Orthopedic conditions are often characterized by a loss of range of motion and joint mobility. The client, then, has issues with his posture, altered gait, pain and discomfort and loss of function.

The manual therapy techniques can restore the mobility and fluidity of the movement in stiffer joints. The physiotherapists then use mobilization and manipulation techniques along with muscle control exercises depending on the findings of the assessment.
